Accents and Carnival of Madness

I'm home from what has been a fun past couple of weeks. After the whole Fair to Midland fiasco, my sister and I were ready for a different, better concert experience. We were originally planning to hit up Atlantic City for the Carnival of Madness show at HOB (Chevelle is the only reason we wanted to go). Instead, as fate would have it, we ended up going to the Springfield, IL show. In summation, New Medicine literally counts to 4 in every song. Cavo was slightly lackluster. And Lzzy of Halestorm wore a spandex suit so...anyway, Chevelle was perfect. I'm so glad that was how we ended our concert run this summer.  The new stage set up is amazing.

We obviously didn't stay for Evanescence. Our last sight onstage was something to remember. The whole night was a blast with a lot of details that I want to just keep inside my own head for now. Amanda and I found out some things that are sure to keep our minds hyper for a few months at least.

Now, we're both waiting for the show we have planned in Chicago on 9/15. I'm flying in from school in NYC for one day to see Sick Puppies and she is driving up 8 hours to meet me there. Did I mention that today marks one year since we've seen Sick Puppies? So weird.

Amanda and I spent this final weekend  in Springfield, MO. Between watching thunderstorms on a couch in front of the hotel window and making fun of people at Art Walk, we spent 72 hours speaking to everyone we encountered in our best Australian accents. "Ya knowr?" Everyone was a little surprised when we would respond, but we knew it was hilarious. At this point, we pretty much do everything in sync and I'm having a hard time believing we aren't identical twins.

Other random stuff:
Currently obsessed with the song "Blood" by In This Moment
Sheldon the bull is following both, Amanda and I now.
            I'm over the world crew.
KV13 will occur in Summer 2013 in the midst of a mega tour.
