Ron

Tonight, one of the people that I've most looked up to passed away. He was extremely fit, had a great personality, and was truly one of the best people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. Then, suddenly in July 2011, he was diagnosed with the most aggressive type of brain cancer there is. "Bad things happen to good people" has never been more true. I can't believe this has happened. I feel guilty for being so geographically far away from him now...but I know he is no longer suffering and is in a better place. I will love you forever Papa.

RIP Ronald Bailey: The greatest.

City Nights

Tonight, I'm back in the city; New York, that is. Yesterday was a blur. I stayed up all night and then rode to the airport for my early flight. Then I didn't sleep for 36 hours. Now I'm about to watch the Season 3 premiere of Dexter on my Laptop. I'm glad to be back, but I can already feel the stress creeping up on me. Also, I know that while my previous semester was writing intensive, this semester will be reading intensive. So we'll see how that goes...now, back to watching Dexter slice a grapefruit.

The Beginnings

I've finally decided to start writing a blog. I've been writing on my own for awhile now, and I guess I'm just ready to start putting everything I think about on the internet. However, I must warn:

1) I'm not a celebrity, so I am probably not that interesting.
2) The things I write about have meaning to me, which means they may not have meaning to anyone else.
3) It may take me awhile to get into the swing of blogging...or at least awhile until I get to the level of Barney Stinson blogging.

So, on that note: Let's Do This!
