I'm finally back in lovely Missouri and I'm trying not to take any of it for granted. So far I've been home for 13 days and I've already had (literally) a few of the best moments of my life. More on that later.
While my sister and I (im)patiently await a new Sick Puppies tour, we are busy finding a rebound band. It turns out, that band is Chevelle. After the awkwardness that was St. Patty's day with Janus, we decided to check out our new friends in Chevelle at the Blue Note in Columbia. First we had to sell the Incubus tickets for the same night that we had already bought...which was a problem in itself.
Me and my sister at our home (concert club).
5/22 eventually arrived and we ended up having an absolutely wretched time in line all day. Luckily, our Aussie merch girl Hayley (Sam's wife) came through for us with VIP passes. During the show, Dean was talking to me through the microphone about his refrigerator that I broke...after the show, we ended up hanging out with the Chevelle guys on the bus. Instead of describing all that happened there, I'll just sum it up to: Peter sang and danced a broadway tune for us because we are sisters; and we ended up walking off the bus with some bananas, Easy Cheese whiz, and monster energy from the bus cupboards. (Thanks Dean).
This is me. I look more than rough. Rough pit. Long night. Don't care. Just call me DEADPAN.
Also, we saw Janus. So over it. #JS #DS
Sidenote: Although I didn't directly reference it in this, fate played a huge part in this day. If you don't believe in fate then you're an idiot. Seriously. All I'm saying is "Get Some."
